So nothing for Japan?
So a $150 Wii goes up against a $199 Xbox 360 and a $299 PS3.
Should see a new Weekly leader for a short while. Short while being, until MS cut the 360's price at E3.

PS3 and 360 will still be on top, but Wii will get a boost to the 140K mark and stay aroudn there till September.
Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,
mario maker
new 3ds
yoshi woolly world
zelda U
majora's mask 3d
And in Japan it still costs 20000 Yen (247 freaking $!!) And that without a bundled game? Awesome strategy to please the Japanese fans, Nintendo. :/

had to chuckle a bit.
Japan is where its needed the most, though.
"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY." --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

In Japan they'll bundle Super Mario Groper.

The price cut is also effective in Europe from 20th May in Europe at 150 euros I assume, they are saying the final price is decided by the stores.
That doesn't make sense - Nintendo was going on about revitalizing the Wii in Japan with monthly software, but has decided to hold back on a price cut? Anyway, I'm hoping the Wii will get a decent enough boost to have a respectable Q2 with the aid of the price cut.
