4870 easily beats 5750 tho in benchmarks.

5750 is good for games you listed, but games like AvP(new one), metro 2033, crysis 1 or 2...on medium and higher settings and 1920x1080...won't be pretty.

Your new machine is quite solid other than for the 5750 which sticks out a little on the "underpowered or average" side :)

I won't be running any games at any resolution higher than 1440x900, so I will be fine :) And no 3D for me :D

Yeah youll be fine at that res..disable AA and most games will run on high.

No 3D? Even after they released an adapter which makes any display (60 or 120 hz) 3D capable? At such bargain price?

I've been doing some searching. It's a 120 USD card. Still. It will pretty much crush all the games I own except for StarCraft II.

I've been doing some searching. It's a 120 USD card. Still. It will pretty much crush all the games I own except for StarCraft II.

Pretty sure it will do fine with Starcraft 2.  I can run that on my laptop card on high at like 30 fps, and surely your card can outdo that.



Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

I've got the same GPU though it is ddr 5. Your CPU and 8 GB of ram beat the crap out of my AMD Athlon 635 X4 2.9 and my very modest 2 GB Ram  (which I'll upgrade soon).

I tell you this cause my computer might be inferior to yours and still I manage to run games at pretty solid 1920 x 1080 (sometimes with one or two atributes on the middle range, but still awesome graphics).

I havent looked around for video card deals for a while, but now that you made this thread I was curious if i could find a similar card for less. Or a better card for more. I figured you paid 120 for your card like you said...
