Which console do you like the most: Dreamcast, Gamecube, Playstation 2, or Xbox, and why? Which one do you like the least, and why?

I like the Gamecube the most, because I think that Nintendo makes the best games! Playstation 2 comes next, because there are just too many good games that can be played on the system. Dreamcast comes next, because it's a true classic, even if its life ended too early, and the Xbox comes last, because although it had some awesome games like Halo, and Halo 2, there isn't much more after that.

Last generation rocked.

Dreamcast just had so many great games.

PS2 had like the greatest games ever made.

GameCube had some of the best games of last generation (RE4 comes to mind).

Xbox successfully brought FPSes to consoles.

No matter which system you had last-gen, you couldn't go wrong (except for the last couple of years of GameCube, the wait for Twilight Princess was painful)

Honestly I catch a lot of hate for this but I liked Gamecube the best not because it's a nintendo system but because of the games Baten Kaitos, Metroid, Animal Crossing, Resident evil 4, Soul Calibur II(best on the GCN in my opinon) I liked Xbox the least because it had absolutely nothing I really wanted to play besides panzer dragoon orta... I didn't mind PS2 in fact I really wanted to like it but I'm sorry I just didn't like too many games that came out for it.. Dreamcast was about middle, I liked it but it wasn't around long enough for me to really love it..

PS2>DC>Xbox>GC

i agree the xbox sucked. if you already had a ps2, you'd be better off getting a gamecube. i suppose if I didn't have a ps2 aswell there would have been more than just 4-5 interesting games on the system.

ps2>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>GC>xbox (can't say about DC, never played one)

I loved all the consoles last gen. The Xbox was great becasue it did some fun stuff the PS2 and Cube could not pull off. Downloadable map packs W/O a HDD peripheral was nice, and PG1/2 with custom sound tracks was nearly enoghf to make it top GT for my favorite racer. Live was also the only way to go for online last gen, only Soccom was even trying to compete. The Cube was by far the worst system Nintendo has made (even including the Wii, and you all know how I dislike Wii) however, I did have a lot fun with it. SSBM, Twin Snakes, and MKDD were three of the best games I owned last gen. When it comes right down to it though, you can not argue against the games the PS2 had. GT4, MGS2/3, FFX, FFXII, Jakk's, Ratchet's, Sly's, Killzone, GoW1/2, and so much more. The PS2 is the pinnical of gameing platforms, it really had somthing for everyone. That is why I love it and have a large amount of faith in Sony to pull it off again.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

Last gen was sorta meh...PC gaming truly shined a lot from 1999-2006, and was far better then console gaming IMO (this gen console gaming seems to be much better so far).

Anyway...

1. PS2....the game selection is simply awesome. It had by far the best game selection. (although IMO not as good as people say) It was also pushed the most and had the second best controller.

2. Dreamcast...it had quite a few good games and was very innovative. Shame it died :(

3. GameCube....with little to no third party support and some of the worst first party games ever made by Nintendo. On the plus side, the few great games it did have were amazing, and it had the best controller, as well as the one single best game made last gen

4. Xbox....yeah...big ugly controller, VERY few games, huge system, I don't like Halo and pretty much a bust of a console, terrible, I can't really say there was a single exclusive game I truly enjoyed

PS2 > DC > GCN > Xbox

Note: I don't own an DC, but my cousin does and I played it a lot, I also don't own an Xbox, but my other cousin does and I also played it quite a bit. I didn't have a PS2 for a while but my DC owning cousin did :O he finally gave it me this year.

Top 3 favorite games: Super Mario Galaxy, The Sims 2 (PC), The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

I liked the DC the most, but I certainly spent the most time with the PS2. The Xbox was easily my least favorite as it never had more than (or as much as) half a dozen games I actually wanted to play.

Gamecube was alright, but it was easily the weakest I can imagine a Nintendo system being and ended up having the only Zelda (among those released on their respective systems first) that I couldn't really stommach (and Zelda used to be my favotire Nintendo series, before WW). Overall, a disapaointment.

Outside of that, though, it's hard to tell which I really wanna back. The PS2 had so many good games in the end, but the DC gave some damn good experiences in a short time and could have given so many more if things were different. That potential makes it hard to abandon, since it delivered on it for its short life.

You do not have the right to never be offended.

PS2 > GC > DC > Xbox

I liked the PS2 the best , mainly because of its huuuuuge game library . Then came the GC . Man I liked its design , and the game selection was awesome to , just not even far as many games on it as for the PS2 , and afther the Slim came out , I totally forgot about the Cubes awesome design . Than was the DC . Crazy Taxi , Code Veronica , Soulcalibur , Sonic all showed what the DC was capable of , but unfortunatly it was dead sooner , and not later :(

The Xbox is the weakest IMO . Its waaay to shooter , sports and driving centric . Its the ugliest sistem I had ever seen , and the controls are the worst from the 4 . Yeah it had some good exclusives like Panzer Dragon Orta and Ninja Gaiden , but the Halo focused comunity was IMO a huge fad . Also , it was a console , where yoy actually had to pay for online . WTF ?
