Perfect, and then when people improperly turn the console off and the bulb breaks because it didn't cool down correctly, Nintendo can charge an arm and a leg for replacement bulbs.

I said it before, a crappy projector would look crappy. Projectors competing with big 3D TVs are priced in 4-digits territory. As part of a console a single part should definitely not cost over 100$. Now look at what type of projectors you'd get for under 100$, or let's say even under 200$... ... yes... you'd get something crappy looking.

Motion tech was also considered weird, but at least the tech was relatively cheap.

I doubt it's true. It's funny that I can't think up any upgrades I'd love them to include in Wii2 besides the obvious HD & better internet. I never thought of dual screens, portable 3D or motion remote pads before they came out though so maybe whatever they do with Wii 2 will suprise me nicely like the last 3 did.

you guys know that the bulbs used in projectors cost like $300 right?  and you are lucky if you can get 3 years of solid use out of them before they burn out!  

This has to be the dumbest idea I have ever heard.  This would not make a lick of sense for Nintendo to do this.
