Forums - Nintendo - Good DS games that were not released in Japan

As the title says, please recommend me good DS games that weren't released in Japan.

I prefer platformers, action/adventures and RPGs, but any genre is welcome.

One I can think of is "Giana Sisters DS".

(I know there are lists on wikipedia with which games were released in which region, but wading through over 1000 titles isn't much fun.)

Thanks in advance.

Wait so the game is never released in Japan? As in Western Only? Honestly can't think of any that are Western Only and are awesome.

I'm not sure if they were released only in the west but Big Bang Mini and Ninja Town are both really awesoem games from nobody devs/pubs so more then likely they haven't

Sig thanks to Saber! :D

Henry Hatsworth, the most overlooked title of 2009.

Age of Empires: The Age of Kings and its successor Age of Empires: Mythologies
(very good western turn-based strategy - yes, Age of Empires is TBS on DS, not RTS as on PC)

Anno: Create a New World (PAL title) aka Dawn of Discovery (NA title)
Anno is not a real-time strategy franchise as English speaking gaming media always and forever claim in their reviews, it's actually the best building/economic simulation franchise currently available imo. The best Anno games are on PC (and extremely successful in the German speaking area, where we still love economic sims), but the DS version is great as well.

Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars (Director's Cut)
Even though this is just an enhanced port of a point&click classic from 1996, it's still a fantastic game and the best graphic adventure game on DS and Wii (which is a bit sad, as the expected small wave of old and new western point&click PC games did not go to Nintendo systems, as some expected a few years back, but to Apple systems plus PSN/XBLA).

Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes (this is brilliant and unique, puzzle/strategy/RPG, one of my most favourite DS games)

Alice in Wonderland (I'm not kidding, a very nice game nobody knows)

My Japanese Coach (yes, now I'm kidding)

@Dawn of Discovery: really? Must have...

@Broken Sword: I keep walking by this game at gamestop. Is it really that good?

Super Scribblenauts is a great game that improves on the original in every way, while adding adjectives to make it even more personable. I know that the original Scribblenauts was just released in Japan, but Super Scribblenauts is the way to go. ^_~

Thanks for all the recommendations so far.

I might look into getting some of those.

Grid and race driver come to mind, but they're both racing sims

Moon, Dementium 2, and Brothers in Arms, shooters, but only brothers in arms is a striaght up shooter, Moon and Dementium are both survival horror (excellent, but unfortunately short)

Nanostray 2,

also Humanity's Greatest accomplishment, Spanish for everyone.

I HAVE A DOUBLE DRAGON CAB IN MY KITCHEN!!!!!!

NOW A PUNISHER CAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally forgot about this thread. (I hope by bumbing this I might get some more answers...)

Thanks for the recommendations so far. There are some titles that got me interested, especially Alice in Wonderland looks intriguing.
