Forums - PC - New laptop (given to me)

So I just got a Dell Inspiron 6400 a couple days ago because my friend got herself a new laptop and gave me this one. Here are the specs:

OS: Windows Vista 32-bit

CPU: Some Intel Dual-core clocked at 1.73GHz

GPU: ATI Mobility Radeon X1400

RAM: 2 GB DDR2 (which I upgraded to 4GB DDR2)

Other shit:

DVD-RW drive

4X USB 2.0 ports

SD card slot

s-video; VGA port

It's pretty cool.

Anyway, it's exactly like my other Vista laptop. Just has "better" graphics and a worse processor. Feel free to mock me in the posts below.

This happened 6 years ago and we aren't friends anymore. It wasn't because of this though... People just changed once university started.

Step 1: Take old laptop to your backyard and destroy it

Step 2: Take new laptop to your backyard and destroy it

Step 3: Sell the scrap metal from the destroyed laptops

Step 4: Apply the money from selling the scrap metal towards buying a new, good laptop

You will never regret doing this.

I had the exact same laptop but with XP instead of Vista, 1 GB ram and X1300 as video card. It last good solid 3 and a half years and than one day just died. Replaced two batteries but in the end just kept it plugged in. Decent laptop but sort of disappointing that i spent $1,200 canadian when i got it in 2006 but all good :)
