You as I.
The online gen?
Although online gaming started on consoles last gen, this is the gen where it's really started to take off and where you can even download entire titles online. Even the Wii has a good number of online games even if the infrastructure isn't as great as it's rivals.

Yes the 3rd party should decide what the leader is even though the leader is clearly the Wii… the leader usually stays the leader until it is outsold so if we go by how it was before that the leading console is the name of the generation then there should not even be a poll to what this gen should be called even if the leading console is not selling more than the other two it is still the leading console.
I would call it the motion gen but if we are going to call it a console name then it is Wii as it is on top obviously
I think it is so funny how some people turn and twist things too suit their sides best :P

Its not the size of your console that counts, it is the motion on the blue ocean.
Anyway, probably this generation could be called the connected generation. Where consoles are connected to the internet and to players through more natural interfaces. Otherwise some variance of motion/interface. That has been whats defined this generation, not graphics and certainly not online to the same extent.
Tease.
Expanded Interface generation: What with the big successes of DS (touch screen),Wii (Motion Controls), and 360 (Kinect) adding to the list of popular gaming interfaces.
