I like a lot of foreign shit but have a particular soft spot for Danish hard rock and metal. Pretty Maids, Fate, Royal Hunt, and King Diamond all make Denmark seem like a cool place, so why is Rainbird such a douche? Mysterious!

Living in Israel (and being Russian by identity as well as by blood), all the music I listen to is foreign... knowing Russian fluently also helps. Ah, and Rammstein is THE SHIT.

So you're not a Jew?

Judaism is a religion not a race as many like to believe

Being "a Jew" is a race thing first and foremost though although most Jewish communities accept converters too (but they're still not regarded as "true" Jews).

Judaism is a more loose term. I don't know exactly the definiton of Judaism actually. Is it the religion? The culture? The race? All combined in equal portions?

Hahahaha. Some worthless bands there. (King Diamond is debatable though, he's quite okay)

I bet you even like D-A-D (aka Disneyland After Dark) lol.

Well it's all down to this, he's Russian but is he Jewish? You CAN be a Russian and a Jew so I'd push the race out of that equation. Culture and Religion seem like more likely options in regards to Judaism, although I did hear of some communities requireing proof of Jewish relatives in order to join them, something like grandfather must have been "jewish" or something. I don't know. Some consider it a race nowadays.

I agree with you, mostly. But that's what they say formally. Among themselves Jewish race is the most important. If you are a Jew by race, you are guaranteed to be accepted 100% among all jews in the world.

Anyway, my question to Xen was relevant because maybe he doesnt identify himself as "a Jew"?

I heard many who were only 1/4th (or even ½) Jewish blood migrated from Russia and Ukraine into Israel just to get a better life in the early 90's (and many were disappointed in the Israeli society so they have since then moved elsewhere, to Germany, the US and back to Russia).

ugh.. O-Zone.

Just watch the Eurovision song contest.

i like listening to songs in any other language, I learned one in Chinese and I know a couple of Norwegian ones.

Plus "con te partiró" is one of my favourites ever. And I've learned most of the lyrics to that one.

Music is a really good way to learn a language.

But numa numa is hilarious! It's older than time itself!

i always liked that russian song, even after they stole it and made ainternational hit of it

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
