I wonder why Ps2 its 142M and has 150M shipped... 8M on Shelves seems impossible.

I'm assuming its because they don't know what region to put the 7.5mil consoles and since the ps2 is quickly growing irrelevent they aren't bothering to try and find out. My guess would be South America, Eastern Europe, and Africa/Asia.

I think this is the perfect to say "Told ya so".

Last year I made a prediction saying that the PS3 would be leading in Japan, PS3/Wii would be fighting for "Others" with PS3 winning out with a close lead, and the 360 would take Americas.

I was wrong on one thing. It's not close at all in Others.

Well played Sony and Microsoft. Here's to getting your best Year yet (again).

PSP is doing great in Japan. Now we'll see what happens when the 3DS gets released. People should realize by now that the only reason DS sales are down in Japan is because everyone in that country is waiting patiently for the 3DS to be released. I expect they will sell 1 million in Japan alone in the first week if Nintendo makes enough of them,.

The XBox 360 continues to lead the pack with it's strong American sales. Even with Japan and EMEA low 360 sales, the system still takes 1st place this week. Imagine if 360 popularity in Japan increased. Japan is really the only region that's hurting the XBox 360. XBox 360 sales are decent in EMEA compared to the compeition.

On the other hand, imagine if PS3 popularity incrased in Americas :)

360 #1...Yes! I am just happy that nobody can use that statistical tie crap LOL(I don't care about PSP &DS.)

Overall, the 360 does deserve it...I don't own one but Microsoft has done an amazing job with Kinect making it the next big thing. I have played it and it is fun...I just think they should upgrade it a little bit. If it could read fingers and other things...well, it could be even bigger.

PS3 is doing good though 360 put a gap in between them this week. Japan #'s impress me.

Wii is doing fine IMO considering it is now facing Move and Kinect and has had nothing big since New Super Mario Bros. Wii and nothing new since Motion Plus. Wii should be able to hold its own until Nintendo acts with a Price Cut or the Vitality Sensor.

360 and PS3 are still statistically tied because they are still in the 10% range. But who cares.

We just have to hold on for that price cut, then everything will look much rosier.  :)

It had a supernova first few years, and then, at least compared to itself, has started to plummet sharply.  If it wasn't for the holidays....

However, the lack of support and only the Ninty games can only hold up for so long.  They basically released Mario and hadthat carry them for like a year.  DK didn't have the same impact.

I knew DK wouldn't have anywhere near the effect that NSMBWii did (which is a shame, because it really demonstrates what the Wii is capable of).

Nintendo will probably hit it with a holiday price cut to go along with the next Zelda title, which should revitalize the console.

It's kind of funny the way we look at Wii sales and HD sales.  The Wii releases things whenever it starts to plummet, but between those events there is not much.  When we talk HD, we talk of how much they do to keep their sales from stagnating...and both work I guess.  Funny though.

It IS impossible.  The site heads just don't seem very interested in getting PS2 right, I guess because it is last gen or something.

Cuz the site dont track latin america sales, i think.

I think it's crazy to see the 360 performing as well as it is this far into it's life. Microsoft really new what buttons to hit and just at what times!

The PS3 will get there too!  :D
