This pretty much sums up my thoughts exactly. My top system this gen has been the DS, by far, with the PSP in a clear second. And with all the cheating in online games, I've no interest in that aspect of gaming, which leaves me the Wii from the poll options.

@Conegamer: I have to say, you are incredibly optimistic about the posters here. I'm surprised it's remained this civil for this long already.

Optimism is key. At the very least, there have only been some pretty...disturbing comments and pictures, to say the least.

If we're continuing this train of comments, can we please cut out some of the middle? It's best for everyone...

(I was surprised when I came back and saw civil war hadn't broken out TBH. But, for how long?)

For me, I always expected the PS3 to win, sadly. But I'm surprised the Wii is beating the 360. The rightful order of things is restored

Woah woah, I love Nintendo I have more than 7X as many Wii games than 360, for example. And I also have 3 wiis. How is that "ignoring Nintendo?"

Nintendo are doing the right thing. They're focusing on games. More developers need to do this, to get out of this "COD cycle" and back into original games IMO

You just said that you always thought that consoles were striving towards becoming more PC-like, but honestly, how do Nintendo consoles fit into this context?

I didn't. I said that I thought that Consoles were doing that this gen. Not that they should, or that I agree with it. Of course, Nintendo is the exception, and they've proved this gen it doesn't matter about everything else, if you have new, original games, and ways to play, you'll win.

All consoles, Wii included, are becoming more like PCs. You could certainly argue that the x360/ps3 have gone after the online shooter market that was once dominated by PC players. Still, the Wii has firmware updates, very strict digital distribution DRM that locks purchases to a single console in addition to non-gaming features such as internet browsing and netflix.

At the same time, the wii is the only current gen console with no (legitimate) hard drive option, and its the users that suffer by being limited by how much they install at once.

True. I've already spoken to someone about it, so I doubt you will.

Not having you on the site after these past few weeks will be very upsetting for me...but, well, I'm sure it won't happen.

And, as Seece rightly said: "They always come back. Give it a few weeks"

Also, what would be the point of me changing your profile pic next week if you aren't on the site to see it eh?

-best library

-no additional tax to use basic feature

-i can watch BR movies on it

-no region locks
