All consoles, Wii included, are becoming more like PCs. You could certainly argue that the x360/ps3 have gone after the online shooter market that was once dominated by PC players. Still, the Wii has firmware updates, very strict digital distribution DRM that locks purchases to a single console in addition to non-gaming features such as internet browsing and netflix.
At the same time, the wii is the only current gen console with no (legitimate) hard drive option, and its the users that suffer by being limited by how much they install at once.
