LOL well seen.
Also Conegamer, if you're not sure how this might end bad... you're either 4 years late for the console war or a bit naive. First thing you should expect when creating a thread like this is fanboys flamming around XD
Nonetheless, I'm obviously going to say the PS3, has it is my only platform of this generation.
| RolStoppable said: Here, I am going to help you. The Wii wins this title by default as it is the only actual home console this generation while the 360 and PS3 continuously pushed to become more like PCs. The Wii may have its fair share of non-gaming features, but they never take or took the spotlight (like Blu-ray or the absurdly long ESPN presentation for the 360). Wii games also still work like typical console games while on the 360 and PS3 you have to deal more and more with installs and patches. The Wii stays true to the roots of console gaming while the HD systems blurred the line between a PC and a video game console more and more. |
And you don't think "games" like Wii Fit or Wii Music (which were a big part of their E3 presentation) didn't took the spotlight?
Also, I find motion controls to be very anti-console.
I am most satisfied with the Wii; as the other consoles focus too much on online multiplayer games rather than real multiplayer games. If I had an option, I would say DS and PSP are ahead of the home consoles overall this gen for single player games.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts exactly. My top system this gen has been the DS, by far, with the PSP in a clear second. And with all the cheating in online games, I've no interest in that aspect of gaming, which leaves me the Wii from the poll options.
@Conegamer: I have to say, you are incredibly optimistic about the posters here. I'm surprised it's remained this civil for this long already.

And you don't think people cheat in split-screen? -.-
I find it a lot worse.
Looking at my collection, I own almost 80 discs for the 360 and almost 50 games from XBL. The other two combined don't reach that number in my house. I'd be lying to myself if I said anything other than Xbox 360. I chose with my wallet.
ps3 is the best, but im a fanboy so I voted for the Wii :D

pwin´ every other villain since 1994

The continued existence of consoles is based on differentiation to the PC and computer games. Wii Fit and motion controls are characteristic of console strengths, because you wouldn't see such things on the PC. Wii Music is also different, but that hardly matters if we are talking about a bad game. |
Not really. I always thought consoles were striving towards becoming more PC-like, and, as I've already said, that's not a bad thing...
