I'm that random guy! While I agree about not trusting random posters on Gaf, it doesn't help when the editor interperts his own meaning from  the post you write based on 2nd hand trusted info, and then uses other estimate numbers to write his article as fact.

First based on retailer blogs, first shipment of Last story is completely sold out at Nintendo, so no extra last minute orders were able to be done today(2nd shipment is tomorrow though!)

When I saw that vgcharts had used me as a source I added this:

It does not mean that 120,000 copies have been sold through at retail.

If I see what some were expecting.....Especially  in the COMG thread.... Especially when the rumor came in that first shipment was sold out and second shipment was coming on the second day after release..

Oh well..

With a bit of luck their will be a TLS II on 3DS..


Also shows userbase mean nothing..If a game like blue Dragon can sell 80k First week on a console with an userbase of 300.000.....While an other game of them barely sell 50% more on a console with an userbase of 10.000.000

I guess you did have the right info then, but it was all misused, so my apologies. Still it's always wiser to wait for an official announcement rather than anecdotal evidence, no matter how reliable it might be.

Plus many people were saying a second shipment was being sent out, and I couldn never find an official source for that either.

TLS shipped around 125000

Dream Club Zero shipped around 33000

GAL GUN shipped around 12000

DS at 20,000 again, nice hold despite 3DS is almost here.

I wonderred if that's what it meant about Nintendo being out of stock instead of the stores being out of stock.  That's kind of a weird thing to report about though isn't it?  Usually we just talk about what the shipment was to retailers not if that shipment "sold out" at Nintendo.  I can understand your frustration but in defense of those who took it the wrong way it was strange wording for a shipment number report.

Wow, I really did underestimate this one 100k (thought I changed it to 120k few weeks after). Oh well I still think it will sell 220k LT. Which is good by my standards since it would be the best selling mistwalker game in Japan. 

PS3 went up also.
