Like I said, is really hard to believe they were working at the move, when first they showed the boomerang, then they slamed the wii as hard as they could... and after seeing the huge success wii got, they decided to suddenly show the move? Come on, give me a break. But to each his own....

Well it depends, they did say 3D on the go is not a good choice, but at least they are not talking crap like the with the wiimote. If they decide to stay quiet, and then pull a 3D Ngp, I wouldnt consider that eating crow.... but if they take the same stance as the wiimote one, then yeah :p

Oh great. Not another Sony-can-eat-crow-for-being-like-any-other-company thread. Its getting real old, people. If Sony acts like a Douche, then what about Verizon with the DROID? That must be the ultra-douche. Some people need to understand that a company will always derail another for their products and or stance. Its business not a morality game.

Sony caters to a different market while Nintendo offers to another. They seperated themselves instead of competing with one another. Like Target and Walmart. Everyone goes to walmart for the cheaper prices while enduring with the crap service, but you have the option of going to Target for the better service and slightly higher prices. 

What was stated by SONY is that the method of 3D being used by the 3DS hasn't really been a great one according to their internal research. THAT IS ALL. If the NGP does get 3D but in a different form, no foul...

I think both Nintendo and Sony will eat crow because people don't really care about 3D, not enough to make such a movement for it.

Sony didn't say anything wrong, the people spinning the statement seem to have some obvious agenda and they also really need to get off their high horse in regards to how Nintendo is.

 the only videos I seen were off Dr marks back in 2001.  The ones with the ball on the end of the stick.  which layed the foundation of the move ball tracking tech and other augmented features.  it was the advancement of eye toy tech.  Dr marks even said he didn't want it to be electronic as that would cause the need for batteries.  which he didn't want lying around his home.  the controller part, with buttons and gyro's, accelerometers and magnetic sensors wasn't probably thought about as a serious direction to around the time of Wii release.

we only have Sony's word to tell us the exact time line of events.  only Sony's words can tell us every little detail of development and they have the option to lie.  we do have several markers of the development process.  The videos and a patent but they where early and everything was quiet after so we don't know if it took them the 7 years from 2001 to E3 2009 to come up with the move or if they had the tech idea before the Wii announcement and were merely perfecting it.  I don't think Sony would have even announced the move at e3 2009 if it hadn't been for Microsoft buying over 3DV and prime sense.

  
I might be wrong but from all I can remember at the start of the generation Sony was dissing the Wii's games not the motion controls, but I wasn't really paying attention to the Wii back then so I'll not argue.

I don't really know about 3D yet but I heard it was good in Motorstorm: apocalypse and killzone 3 so I am glad someone is trying to make it smaller.

If they had it in the works then why would they trash talk something they were going to have eventually? I actually don’t believe that they had it before the Wiimote. Just a bunch of lies so that people wont say they copied Nintendo ;)
