Well I understand there won't be another Mario or Zelda but there's nothing stopping Nintendo from making a high quality new series. I'm not trying to sound like a fanboy here but just this gen (in terms of new IP's) Sony has Resistance, Infamous, Uncharted, LBP and more, but Nintendo is just sticking to its proven franchises and not innovating on the software front. They have so much innovation when it comes to hardware but nothing in terms of software.

PSP with it's 3 game attach rate in Europe is a terrible investment for many developers add to that UMD was a bad choice for a portable device cause it cut battery life and long load times.  Blu Ray for the PS3 created many issues from 40 minute game installs to long load times and an expensive console cost right out of the gate when most games don't even get bigger than a dual layer DVD as seen with 360.  And God of War did battle flow right for action games but also created trends many gamers and reviewers hate IE every action game now needs QTEs and excessive violence, also with games like GoW3, Chains of Olympus, and Ghost of Sparta, it doesn't change the formula, the stories become progressively worse, and more linear than the last.  All fans defend things such as these and it affects their gaming, period.

And cue defense of all this in 3...2...1... 

I like how you say a lot of negative things and has already marked anyone who would say your generalization is pure BS as being 'defensive'...it's like me saying mario games are milked to death and are overrated and many gamers think that and that's fact, period and saying hey ninty defense force to the rescue in 3, 2, 1...what an immature way to handle things.

I can go into details why you are wrong about GOW and PSP...I can go into details why your acting a bit pissy..I can go into details with counter points to show you are being a hypocrite by being so defesnive yourself

anywho ot: Ninty gets hate, sony gets hate, ms gets hate, they all get hate, nothing new. However I find it annoying how ninty fans scream victim and turn around and act in the same or worse ways towards other consoles, mind you I have seen only few such posters on this site, posters like acevil. kopstudent are ace in my books, people should take them as an example.

I never deneid they had issues, but to say they are bad for gaming is ridicilous. The fans defend the fact that these are all quality stuff from PlayStation brand, (GOW,PSP,BR) they are not defending their flaws and say that they ''dont matter''.

Well as a guy in my mid 20s I grew up playing Nintendo only for the longest time. I appreciate their legacy, but now their mindset is in the past by over using mario, changing little with Zelda and not creating many new IPs that are not Wii fit, sports etc. Also it has been shown in some surveys that the average Wii owner is substantially lower than the 360 and PS3 owner so to so the new generation does not appreciate Nintendo is a fallacy because the are the most likely ones to be playing a Wii. It is not an insult it is just a truth.

What do you mean by lower? Are you calling Wii players short?

doesn't have to be harmful to be irritating.  I too dislike some of the Ninty love where Nintendo just can do no wrong, Wii games can't possibly lose money because they only cost a dream and a unicorn fart, and they're the only ones in the current generation of consoles.   It's like that Middle School girl writing Jenny Miyamoto in her notebook and dotting the i's with hearts kind of love.  annoying.

Years back I read in game informer (old survey so take it for what it is) I read the average Wii owner was 16-18, 360 owner was 20 -23 and  the PS3 owner was 24-26. Now this is old news from years back and only relied on game informer readers, but still the Wii wouldn't be the winner every Christmas if people were not buying more Wiis for their chidren. During the rest of the year it makes sense that more older adults can afford a system and by one for themselves and thus this year and last the Wiis market share drops after the holidays. This is not close to fact, but it sure seems logical.

Microsoft and Sony (gaming divisions) would love to be like Nintendo, I think that says it all.

Haha who gets pissy over the internet?  I'm just stating the obvious and explaining exactly what was asked of me.  

I could care less about how you say I'm "wrong", I can back up whatever I say, like reviewers upset over QTEs, or just pull up numbers for PSP, or show launch price of the PS3 how much it lost Sony and how the slower blu ray drives is what has caused load times and required installs... it doesn't matter to me, I know when a developer does wrong and what is bad for gaming in my own view, and again all developers do it, I'm not ragging on Sony, earlier I was posting about all companies... hypocrisy I say! So silly...
