Forums - Gaming - THQ: Games will cost $100 on average next console generation

If we want gaming to be taken seriously, then we all have to pay the price. Gamers, publishers and console manufacturers alike. Gaming should not be held back by money concerns.

Fuck that shit!

This is bullshit, these f--lheads are just trying to justify their new approach, of selling the game at 40$ and then you buy each thing you want modes, campaigns etc saying that "we want you to buy what you want" Fuck that shit, full game at 100$ they can shove it up their....

guys sadly this is the truth and THQ wont be the only one, Activsion will storm in first up and up the price. But guys I have been paying that much for Years now in Australia. I worry that if that happens i will be paying 200 dollars. yea that will suck

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

Game prices are falling in general (lots of free and low costs games on PC, phones and the digital dist. networks on all the consoles.)  Game prices will continue to fall for a couple years, at least.

Lol, I've been paying that or more for my games for over twenty years!

For example Sony exclusives are at 59$, I don't think they'll sell them at 99$ all of a sudden.. so yea.

Who wants to pay 100$ for ONE game. That is why I like Nintendo's pricing strategy, no games go over $49.99 unless bundled. Sadly, if this is true, piracy will skyrocket, and I will join.

What the hell wil lthey cost in Australia then, we pay 90-110 for PS3/360 games now. 150-180

maybe games in thext console gen will cost this much but PC games are still usually around $50. That brings up the questions- games usually perform better on PCs but why do pc games still cost less?
