Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo 3DS causes dizziness and fatigue in 10 minutes

This is non-news; the size of the sample isn't revealed. They could have asked 7 people; 4 people say the 3DS made them dizzy, then over half of those surveyed are made dizzy by the 3DS. What about the credibility of the magazine? Is it equivalent to a tabloid?

As others have pointed out, thousands of people have used 3DS so far, and no major issues have been reported. I find it hard to believe it's suddenly become a problem, this is most likely a scare story to boost the magazine itself.

it's already hacked and now it makes you blind? With these new FACTS maybe it's a good thing it only has one hour of battery life?

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

More "new tech health" hype.. we had it when the Wii came out - people pulling muscles, getting cramps, breaking tvs... then Wii Fit, more injuries, etc. Now its the 3DS. Basically, going by what success Wii and Wii Fit had, these reports just state that 3DS will sell in amazing numbers. =D

Or you can rest your eyes in the 3.5 hours the battery is recharging.

OT - honestly, it is almost mind boggling how the 3DS went from yay to nay in a few weeks. Seems like the 3DS goes totally against everything Nintendo preached in the last five years or so. It reminds the PS3 in 2006 way too much - seems like successors to best selling consoles ever are designed with overconfidence no matter by whom.

You do know that he caped the word FACTS for a reason right? Or I would assume he did.

I think it was to sony fanboys ( or paid ones )..  Or the reporter who tricked the answer, just to get some news..

Reporter: Have u tried the new 3ds

Japanees guy:  It's freaking incredible

Reporter: Did u experince some kind of dizziness

Japanees guy: no...  it was incredible

Reporter: is it just buzzing now in your head

Japaness guy: Yes.. it's incredible

Raporter: how long did you try it

Japanees guy: 2 min. and it's freaking Incredible.

My staff and I had plenty of time with the 3DS at E3 and experienced none of those symptoms at all.

The same goes for those I know personally in the industry.  Nobody has complained of those ailments until just now?    70,000 at E3 and no reports of 3DS problems.   I don't buy that it's suddenly an issue.

No different than when I first started playing Goldeneye 007 on N64.

It will pass as you get accustomed to the movement.

odd, though that the hundreds that demoed games and videos at E3 last year didn't say anything about this.

Sounds about right. I sometimes feel dizzy and fatigued after 10 minutes of vigorous sex.
