well. this is to be expected.

look at DSi, hacked before launch. Nintendo doesn't care at all, not when it helps boost hardware sales.

Has nintendo done ANYTHING to ease piracy on DS platform? don't be surprised if the trend continues

They have created games so that they would not work on flash carts but those were quickly fixed and made to work on them.

Other than them tracking down resellers and such I am not sure if they have ever found a way yet to stop it.

Pretty much huge conquest to get things at the source, which has worked, since a lot of stores have been shut down, but the problem will always be the wonderful nation of china... and how companies can really do nothing against anything.

Getting the resellers hasn't really stopped anyone. For a while it was thought that they defeated the creators of the R4 but it turns out that they did not.

It is hard to do so when these flash carts do not ship with the firmware on the chip.

R4 while the most popular is the weakest and slowest in my eyes. It takes forever to update when new games come out with new methods....(months), compared to other flash where it takes 1-2 days.

The original R4 still has little issue playing of the new titles. Thanks to YSMenu almost all new games can be played, even on an old firmware like 1.18.

The Cyclo is really the only one that has little to no issues yet.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Personally I love Cycle and the DSTT. Funny I know so much about DS flashes, yet I buy most of my games, but if this is true, it will hurt the product. Damn it, both nintendo and sony are really suffering because of people who "want" consoles open...don't they know by doing this, they are killing off the company in a sense.

Well that was quick!

If true, thats some great news in my opinion. A pirated console is perfect to play all the games you dont care enough to purchase. Plus, the emulator function on a handheld is always a great addition, particularly if someone is able to come up with some kind of 3D enhancement plug in : ).

Well its possible the version the factory worker stole was not the final version. i mean i remember hearing there was no software on installed on the system, so its possible he installed his own software, it doesent necessarily mean hes already hacked Nintendo's software encryption.

already?

They obviously mean, when the games are posted on the internet, you can download them. Lol. Funny news though, that was fast.

Odd. Future. Wolf. Gang. Kill. Em. All. OFWGKTA Don't give a fuck!

Fuck Steve Harvey. FREE EARL!

Final Fantasy Versus XIII will be the GREATEST game EVER made!!!

I'd take a bullet for Square-Enix!

I don't get it firstly 3DS games on the net? Secondly the units stolen from the assembly line don't even have the software installed on them to hack.

That is the one thing that somewhat confused me as well, when I saw the 3DS, I didn't see any form of software just basic dos like stuff.

piracy shmiracy, why is no emulator avaliable yet???

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
