@antabus  you sir, are funny. i mean that. you dont even care for the greats like Braid, R&C or Trine???

Well, Im not arguing, but Id like to see some averages to have a clearer view.

Also, we all know that nintendo systems usually focus on platformers, while other consoles in the past have had great platformer sellers like Crash Bandicoot or more recently LBP but these arent the prime sellers. What Im trying to say is that there are more platforming efforts on Nintendo systems than on others. Its like doing the same but with shooters instead, Im guessing it would favor the 360, then ps3 and then wii.

You forgot all the downloadable platformers. Its a quite different story for indie developers.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Super Meat Boy, Braid and Limbo. 360 has some great platformers (way better than NSMBWii or Kirby) but Nintendo got Mario Galaxy and DKR which are great. And since this is a sales discussion XBLA games cant compare.

There are many words I could use to describe those games and great is definitely not one of them.

Sure, but including sales of downloadable platformers (if VGC had them) would only make this comparison more lopsided in favor of the Wii.

yeah this is true probably but will give xbox a fighting chance against ps3 imo

The results are very clear.

Platformers only sell on Wii now on home console and it's a dead genre on HD consoles. That explains why the choice of Epic Mickey being on Wii was the perfect choice.

Did he just said FPS and RPG are dead on Wii and noone should bother with them or am I reading into it too deeply? :)
