Btw Halo 2 was released in 2004, Wars and ODST were spin offs. So, so far in regards to the mainline plot I'd say it's been Halo 3, Halo: Reach.

AC is a new IP so that's semi-underestandable and they're selling good and generally well received, well the sequels anyway.

Mario just features in most and has mahusive sales anyhow.

I guess what the main concern is that this will be much alike to COD, when you will see the same level designs just dressed a bit differently.

PS. In regards to FF there has already been, XI, XII, XIII and XIV in the last 5 years.

@OT, anyhow, it'll be interesting to see which direction they go with this. A friend of mine is a FF zealot and has played every FF up to XIII, unfortunately despite being a day one purchase for him he has failed to put in more than 20 hours into the FFXIII, I think he gave up somewhere at 15 hours gameplay and traded it in for Red Dead.
