Well it seems like ages since we last got a shipment update from Sony regarding the ps3 move. 

There is no way the last update (4.1 million shipped) would be enough to cover the Christmas holiday. Is there?

I personally believe sony will reveal the PS3 Move numbers tomorrow on NPD day since it will be a bright spot despite selling less than XBOX 360 and Wii.

If they don't release numbers tomorrow then without a doubt they will tell us when Earnings come in or at GDC later this month.

I just find it incredibly odd that IMMEDIATELY after Microsoft reported 2.5 million KINECTS sold, Sony countered with an impressive 4.1 million shipped and kinda stole Microsoft's thunder a bit.

With analysts saying PS3 Move has perfored AMAZINGLY, I'm just confused as to why Sony would be so shy about releasing a hard number.

What do you think?  When do you think Sony will update their PS3 Move Shipment/Sales numbers?

Ummm Sony said for a long time PS3 Move was different from KINECT so there really is no comparisson.

All the analysts agree that PS3 Move is doing great so I don't think sony has anything to be ashamed of.

Sony even said PS3 Move did better than they expected, so it seems "big" to me

I imagine that they will release a figure for the device in the Quarterly Reports.

I personally think sony has shipped 6-7 million ps3 moves

But that doesn't explain why the stand-alone Move controller ($49.99) is out of stock 90% of the time at AMAZON and Walmart

Well if I remember the rule whatever sony says divide it by 1.5 (about) to get household value. So they better have shipped over 6 million.
