Forums - General Discussion - Did you see Tron Legacy? What did you think? (possible spoilers).

I'd give it a 6.5/10

The movies was good, but it wasn't anything you need to see more than once, or watch in the theaters (unless you want all the 3D)

great start... and the rest was meh... should have been at least 30 minutes shorter..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Wanted to see, but still haven't figured out how to watch 3D with my regular glasses and it not be a disaster.  So, I have had to pass.  I am a Tron fan to.  Will likely have to wait for it to come home before I see it.

Story & script were bland imo.

Special effects, along with the animations & soundtrack, were off the hook though. I saw it in 3D too. A visual spectacle tbh.

saw it in 3d, my first 3d movie so to me it was an experience. It wasnt the best movie but not the worst, the main character was meh, I loved Olivia in it. the blond chick was cool, DAFT PUNK them I like. People complain about CG Jeff Bridges but honestly i think its the best ive seen, I dont think it can get much better, but I would love to be wrong

I found it a little heavy on the Judeo-Christian allegory, I found the protagonist to be completely boring and as devoid of personality as the digital characters if not more so, and I was confused and offended by the random gay Judas nightclub owner character.

But that aside, it was pretty much a boner fest most of the way through.  I really enjoyed it.

Come on, Rubang. The David-Bowie-as-Willy-Wonka character in the nightclub was fantastic. I was cracking up.

I saw it at Imax first, and between the visual artstyle and the incredible soundtrack, it was really one hell of an experience, purely from a stylistic point of view.  I enjoyed it immensely, despite being in 3D (3D doesn't do much for me, though it does dim the screen), and I couldn't wait to go back.

I saw it in 2D a few days later, and the sound system sucked, so the louder parts of the film blurred together and the bass was weak.  I wasn't nearly as impressed.

If you see it under the right conditions, it's an incredible experience.  As a general movie, however, it's fairly unimpressive.

Question to people, why are people saying the story lacks substance?  I mean, I'm just a bit curious as to why people thought it was "meh"?  I personally loved it, saw the movie without any reviews.  It was kinda odd finding out after I watched the movie that people didn't like it, or reviewers for that matter.
