i think it wil favor MK--after all that is one of the biggest games comming to the wii right now

GT5 will trounce MK. I'm not saying that MK will do poorly, it will do very good (Several million sold). But I just don't think it can compare to the insane sim that is GT. GT5 will sell a ton of consoles as the defacto must have next gen game, and will end up 1-2 million ahead of MK wii in world wide sales.

Prologue will be a good clue as to how big GT5 will be.

I think that Mario kart Wii will sell more, i will certainly be buying it.

I did a bit of research, because I did none before I made this topic.

GT -10.85 mil on ps 100 mil userbase
GT2 – 9.97 mil on ps 100 mil userbase
GT3 a spec – 14.87 mil on ps2 120 mil userbase
GT4 – 8.70 mil on ps2 120 mil userbase
GT4 pro – 1.36 mil on ps2 120 mil userbase

Super Mario kart – 8.76 mil on snes userbase 50 mil
Mario kart64 – 9.87 mil on n64 userbase 32 mil
Mario kart DD – 6.60 mil on gc userbase 21 mil

Im gonna have to do a John Lucas also, and say Mario Kart will sell double GT5.

Sony would have to be spewing that if all the time and money they put into GT5 making photo realistic racing game, Nintendo can put out a Kart game, packed with their mascotts and a heap of great gameplay, and it gets smashed in sales.

You left out Mario Kart: Super Circuit (5.45) and Mario Kart DS (8.28).

Go go GT5 it must have long legs to outsell Mario Kart Wii and I think it will have it.
