Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Why Polyphony Digital was playing FORZA 3 at E3 2009

Not this clown again. Both games are amazing, both have big pros and big cons. Jesus, can we just live with both games? Do we really need to take sides?

That's because you are toastboy and you don't even have a PS3.

I was a sucker, I bought it anyways.

I thought the online would be much better as thats what I mainly play for both F3 and Gt5.  GT5  still has assholes that crash bounce corners and I can't get over that aspect.   So I have went back to F3 for the time being.

i was gonna get GT5 but when i got forza 3 is was sooo much more fun than gt5p i didnt like the graphics/gameplay in gt nearly as much as forza.

I seriously am not trying to come off sounding like a fanboy but just wait until they get some of the kinks worked out and the games cheaper ( if you plan on buying it at all (GT5) ).  I wish I had just waited until they fixed all the kinks.  The main allure was the simple fact that the game has more cars to race against and I couldn't pass that up.  But after playing both, there isn't a huge difference other than more cars on the track, and before any aholes jump in here I'm not downing GT5 I own it and its a good game.  But it has kinks, that is all..

it's a difference, you not recommending a game for the wrong reasons, if you love racing and cars and the most realistic driving you'll ever get in a sim your a fool to pass up GT5,

however if menus and  graphical inconstancies mean more to you than the stated above (you probably shouldn't be playing sims) and Forza would be a great alternative. This is of course in my opinion, but saying the amount of cars on track is the only thing that separates GT and Forza clearly shows how little about GT5 you actually know. How about you play alittle more and the differences will become known

I new I would get one of you guys to through some stupid shit up to me.  I have owned every GT game that has ever existed on consoles except the prologue ones.  So I obviously know a lot about GT games and I have probably given them more of my money than you ever will.  The only thing I can and will say to you or anyone about this subject is this- why not go out and actually try F3 before you talk smack about it.  Not once have I said anything bad about GT here, and I have not said that someone should not go out and buy the game.  But if you already own F3 your not going to gain a ton buy getting GT5 other than more cars.  Slight differences yes, and if you only own a PS3 I would say go get Gt5 now.    But again if you own F3 wait till more of the bugs are worked out and make sure your getting a quality product before you decide to go out and pick it up.  Why is that such a bad thing?  Do you believe that there are no bugs or issues with GT5?  If you think that is the case you certainly have your head stuck really far up PD's rear.....

and I knew I would get someone like you,

never said GT5 doesn't have it's flaws and it sure as hell does has flaws.

all that on top of the 16 cars per track

please point to me these features in Forza 3 because either I suck at navigating that games' menus, or they don't exist.

and that's far more than just.....more cars on the track non sense you say. clearly you know little about the game. or have played very little of it.

What is fun about license tests? What is new about them? Why does Forza need them?

I don't see how that is a pro tbh it has been repeated in every GT game.

hmmmm lets see having a feature that teaches people the ends and outs of driving and racing respectively over extensive and very hard to master training sessions

or

a very detailed paint editor

which do you think is better to have in a simulator and more beneficial to it's audience....... not a rhetorical question, I really want to know your opinion on the matter.
