I still like Forza 3 so much. Will not buy GT5

I was a sucker, I bought it anyways.

I thought the online would be much better as thats what I mainly play for both F3 and Gt5.  GT5  still has assholes that crash bounce corners and I can't get over that aspect.   So I have went back to F3 for the time being.

i was gonna get GT5 but when i got forza 3 is was sooo much more fun than gt5p i didnt like the graphics/gameplay in gt nearly as much as forza.

I seriously am not trying to come off sounding like a fanboy but just wait until they get some of the kinks worked out and the games cheaper ( if you plan on buying it at all (GT5) ).  I wish I had just waited until they fixed all the kinks.  The main allure was the simple fact that the game has more cars to race against and I couldn't pass that up.  But after playing both, there isn't a huge difference other than more cars on the track, and before any aholes jump in here I'm not downing GT5 I own it and its a good game.  But it has kinks, that is all..

it's a difference, you not recommending a game for the wrong reasons, if you love racing and cars and the most realistic driving you'll ever get in a sim your a fool to pass up GT5,

however if menus and  graphical inconstancies mean more to you than the stated above (you probably shouldn't be playing sims) and Forza would be a great alternative. This is of course in my opinion, but saying the amount of cars on track is the only thing that separates GT and Forza clearly shows how little about GT5 you actually know. How about you play alittle more and the differences will become known

I new I would get one of you guys to through some stupid shit up to me.  I have owned every GT game that has ever existed on consoles except the prologue ones.  So I obviously know a lot about GT games and I have probably given them more of my money than you ever will.  The only thing I can and will say to you or anyone about this subject is this- why not go out and actually try F3 before you talk smack about it.  Not once have I said anything bad about GT here, and I have not said that someone should not go out and buy the game.  But if you already own F3 your not going to gain a ton buy getting GT5 other than more cars.  Slight differences yes, and if you only own a PS3 I would say go get Gt5 now.    But again if you own F3 wait till more of the bugs are worked out and make sure your getting a quality product before you decide to go out and pick it up.  Why is that such a bad thing?  Do you believe that there are no bugs or issues with GT5?  If you think that is the case you certainly have your head stuck really far up PD's rear.....

By the way... Explain how you mean "threatened".

In what way? Sales? Metacritic score?

I believe PD was and still is threatened by the quality / innovation / customization / online of forza 3.

PD was NEVER threatened by Forza sales, as they can't compete with GT5 in that area

and "what you believe" is that this article in the OP supports your opinion, which is why you post it like it's a fact, even though it is clearly a tongue in cheek opinion piece.

It's like one of those... two man circle jerks.  Opps.  Was that not family oriented?

@tombi123 - GT5 was in development for at least 5 years, possibly 6

Devs are usually friendly with each other, but I can see PD and Turn 10 being bitter rivals xD

Honestly I hope they do become bitter rivals. As far as I've heard they may as well be the two greatest racing/sim developers on consoles.

It'd make for incredible competition, and better games. I'd rather them be on friendly terms, but Turn 10 once said PD passed the baton to them . . . that could be homage or saying that PD is "outdated". E

Well, it's funny, Sony boys ripping into Turn 10 for their immature comments. I'm sure this only fires PD on to outdoing themselves and "beating "T10" even more. It IS good for competition, and for all we know, GT5 might have turned into a better product because of it.

A lot of gamers did that same just to let you know.

Gamers dissing competition are utterly irrelevent to game development ..

But "Sony boys" are relevant, right?  ;)

No.

GT4 released in 2004.

PD then developed Tourist Trophy on the PS2. Released 2006. Then they started development on GT5 in late 2006 while also developing GT PSP and releasing GT5:P.

I can go get a source if you like?

That's what alot of people are forgetting very often, Tourist Trophy, GTPSP (GT5P is kind of related to GT5's development :p) when they're whining about the time needed to develop GT5.

My trolldar indicated such. Now I can't be sure of course. My trolldar is a bit hard to read:

Especially at such a small resolution. But he has all the qualities of one.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.
