Split screen is awesome. I'm glad Goldeneye Wii has it.

The only thing that's better is online splitscreen. I love playing 8v8 multiplayer or infection on big maps together with friends on Halo 3 :D

I thought every FPS after that would support such awesome modes, but it seems most developers are too retarded to implement actual progresss like that :/

Thats one of the reasons I love Halo so much. Every single game has had split-screen co-op campaign, and 4 player split-screen online and local multiplayer.

However I don't think there has ever been a full retail game that had 4 player split-screen co-op campaign. I know Halo 3 can get up to 3-player split-screen co-op and maybe a few xbla can but 4 player is unheard of.

Split screen, simple but fun games like the old tmnt games on NES and Mega  Drive, streets of rage contra etc. I still play them and they are more fun than a lot of modern games. Also their music, fast and makes you want to play the game even more!

I'm fine with this.. now my ugly fat nerdy 30 year old male friends can stay at their mother's basement and we can still play together... I don't want them in my house.. they smell, eat my food and what would the neighbours think! and it leaves me more time free to invite the beautiful slender 22 year old female friends to come at my house and play Just Dance 2..

Long story short, on current gen consoles its impossible (Ps3/360 i mean) For instance a Steroscopic 3D game on the PS3 which has been retrofitted to work at max capability to 3D gaming requires a TON of processing power because the PS3 is rendering the exact same HD image twice a the same time, which pushes the PS3 to the limit and prevents the 360 from running proper Stereo 3D.

Now imagine doing the same thing but with two completely different images and the requires processing power needed is 1.5x the prior level, let alone 3/4 split screen on a single PS3 or 360.  your best bet is to brows PSN and XBL games with split screen, because if you want anything beyond a turok 2 port with split screen, your pushing your luck.
