Thats right. First week FFXIII sales will outsell Halo 3 first week sales. 
 
This is first week, not  first seven days. 
 
Halo 3: 3.84M
 
FFXIII: 2.2M Japan     1M NA       .9M Others.        Total 4.1M
 
(note: if FFXIII releases on a Sunday in Japan then I will count 6/7ths of the second week sales).

though Japan is a tad to high don't ye think

But I feel it will sell relatively equal to more...

People here really under-estimate the FF name....

I would like to think that this will happen but i still remain a bit skeptical... I'm sure that the PS3's userbase by the time this game is released will be larger than that of the 360 at the time of Halo 3's release (obviously) but it all depends on how Sony and Square-Enix get the word out about this game, they need to pull out all the stops and take some tips from the Wii ad's in order to get the momentum to drive these kinda of sales.

It is possible anyway :D

Hardware in Japan will got upto 200K

EU - 100K

USA - 200K

= 500K hardware sold DUE TO FFXIII

Hmm, Final Fantasy attach rates are far below Halo, but this is FF's debut on new hardware and it's very anticipated much like FFVII was.
Tough call, but I say no. I do think, however, that FF XIII lifetime sales will pass Halo 3 lifetime with a significant margin.
