| oniyide said: @ishiki POP is cool, but no online, not saying online is the end all be all but it certainly helps replayablilty, I would have been traded in Uncharted 2 otherwise. Tomb Raider has better level design??? maybe. better puzzles??? hell yeah, but the gunplay sucked and thats where Uncharted really rapes ms. Croft. As for 64, ill admit I was a PS guy never had N64 but i did play Mario 64 everynow and then, i didnt actually sit down and "play" it till I got the DS version (Luigi & Wario??? sold!) I was having a blast but IMHO the game just didnt age well for me. It wasnt the graphics I just didnt like that you have to replay levels over and over again to progress. it felt like the devs just try to make the illusion of depth and longevity when there wasnt any. Its not a bad game and by no means unplayable today like say Sonic Adventure. It just bored me after a while |
I don't play games online... so that would be a big difference maker in our stance towards game. I agree that the gunplay in Uncharted is leagues better than Tomb Raider (and tomb raider's does need improving) Though the isometric one was a blast and didn't have tomb raider in the name.
However, the gunplay is exactly not the reason why I play those types of games. Thus, my preference to the glitchy tomb raider over uncharted still remains because the much better shooting does little for me. And my hope that they well limit the gunplay in future with uncharted and improve/increase difficulty to the puzzles (Maybe to the dismay of current fans)
And with Mario 64... I've heard that before so its okay. It's a good complaint that's been there for a really long time, no worth arguign about it :P.

, there is a lot of mediocre japanese games (even more than Western games i think?) released this gen , but none of them was highly rated , so they're not listed here.
