I have always like many other been highly scepticle of the early sales of VGChartz. I always though that the numbers where to high or to low compared to what i though they should be.

But now after reading the response to Greenberg (or whatever his name is lol) i am seeing things in a new light.

I never understoof how you got your sales number and now that i know i understand more about how it works. As stated in the (might i say long winded) article posted the numbers are not ment to be a 100% bang on number of how well a select game or peice of hardware has sold in its first few days. Its an estimated of how well its doing. The fact that you go to the messures of doing such things as to call 200 retailers to work out this estimate i find to be might imprssive.

So there you have it VGChartz, You have gained my Respect :P

I agree with you; though I've always trusted VGC numbers, the article gave me a lot more faith in ioi's tracking methods, and it should help to silence some of the complainers (N4G, GAF [as if], Greeberg, and so on).

On another note, I'm trying to make sense of the thread title, but I just can't.
