Probably the common shipped vs. sold mistake.

The guy obviously knows what the true sale through data is.  And if he's LOL'ing at us the we must be seriously fucking wrong.  So there may be some melt downs in a few days when the real numbers are released, if they ever are....

Either way, I think Kinect has done wonderfully but ole greenbag could have worded his tweet differently.   And I also think the way VGC worded the thread was a little misleading so it probably pissed him off to some degree and thats why he retaliated.

MS, like Ninty and Sony, releases shipped numbers, VGC tries to track sold to end users numbers, so it's perfectly normal that they be lower. Doucheberg could have checked VGC FAQ before writing.

No he knows what the sold to retailers numbers are, essentially many things could be happening here, he knows many retailers are wanting more product so he presumes it has sold more than that but it could very well be some retailers are just selling them better than others and since we track sold he's mislead by his data.  Or he's just being a prick for the sake of trying to make his company look better.

Better explanation: Guild Wars 2 is so primitive, it only uses 50MB of RAM, and you have to find something else to do with the rest of it.

Well, I don't know why NPD was delayed (probably routine) but maybe he has figures from NPD he trusts more. It's just a waiting game, VGC is normally pretty good at tracking, but we underestimated move so perhaps same can be said for Kinect.

Yes, all the high resolution images of Guild Wars 2 I keep open at all times use so little RAM, that I have to keep a gazillion browser tabs open at all times!
