Dragon Warrior's sales here are at 22.43 Million units so adding them to the 32 of DQ sales gives us a really good figure for them games.
Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider though...

Tomb Raider is easily explained as well. Since it is safe to assume that PC sales are horrible here (no offense to the site).
Final Fantasy is the one you have to wonder what happened, but I assumed logical reason exists for that. (Maybe how source put it) I can understand 1-2 million from PC sales of FF7-8, but outside of that no idea.

True just the database as a whole is incomplete so you really can't have a complete series sales end up being completely accurate though its funny you say that all those DQ titles are about 50 million since thats within the margin of error.
But if you want a complete history of sales from previous gens you kinda need the publisher to send out their data, its like this site was created in 2005, tracking sales prior to that would mean we'd need to archive work done in the past be it the publisher/developer data or other sales tracking sources, so even then you really can't blame the site

You're using fallacy wrong and trying to turn it into a straw man, what everyone (Me, The Source, Acevil) brought up are facts, the database is incomplete, it has nothing to do with undertracked rather just not tracked at all like PC sales. And its not like you can do weekly tracking of games that came out 20 years ago when the site was only created in 2005, we have to archive data we get from other sources, and if those sources are wrong? Well what are we to do lol
The only thing we can hope for is Square releases detailed data for its older titles that the site lacks data on so it can be archived
