Is the current (and it seems slightly retroactive) PS3 boost based on slimlining adjustments or is it actual numbers? (or increased estimates due to the middle east figures that were recently taken into account?)

All data is updated and correct as far as I'm concerned. Holiday boosts are now pushing up all consoles

First of all, our forum over here, may not be popular as GT, but the community here is waaay better...compared to the unbearable amount of trolling and fanboyism at GT, N4G, etc.

On topic -

Companies report shipped numbers, not sold numbers. I guess the PS3s and 360s that Sony and MS shipped are sold instantly when they hit retailers.

Or they have an amazing tracking system that gives them real time data on how many consoles were sold.

If the sales numbers in the financial reports are sold, and not shipped, then people like NPD, Chart-track, GFK, Enterbrain, Media Crate, and even Vgchartz don't need to exist.

Shipped =/= Sold


Actually GT has declined over the years. The forum can be deadish, if it isn't ps3 forum or general gaming.

So much that even the mods can't handle it. Glad I stopped posting there some years ago.
