I just checked on Wikipedia and it only came out in 2010 here in Europe, as you said is the US it was 2009.

@Games4fun, NO.....u didn't buy all those games this year?!? And you still have other platforms you game on? @Benao87, which games in particular made you buy a wii?

I@Mr.T-Tar, 'm also suprised that some people are saying 'no' but if 'no' wan't an option, there'd be no point of this thread. Besides, they could be impressed with 2 or 3 games but disappointed with the library. For example, someone who hates platformers and loves beat em ups/hack & slash games.

I only got Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Monster Hunter Tri from that list. I want to try Metroid though, but habve put it off because people keep saying it is worse than the Prime games, and I didn't like Metroid Prime very much.

yes. 2010 is the best year ever for wii. this year we got 3 absolute masterpieces:

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (i know it's a 2009 game, but we got this february in europe)

Sin & Punishment 2 (best game of the generation for me)

Super Mario Galaxy 2

and many other good games:

Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom

Red Steel 2 (with a good story and a multiplayer mode it could have been a masterpiece too)

No More Heroes 2 (even if it slightly disappointed me, i was a huge fan of the first and this seemed inferior to me, despite everyone online saying the opposite)

Fragile Dreams (a very underrrated and underappreciated game. it has some faws, but it's really a beautiful and meaningful game)

Sky Crawlers (too bad it's so short!)

Call Of Duty: Black Ops (i know it's considered inferior to the hd versions but this time we got every feature they got, pointer controls are gold, and the story really hooked me up. oh and even if i still haven't put much time in it, multiplayer seems really good)

only two games disappointed me and i regret buying:

Metroid: Other M ( worst metroid ever, i hope this is not the direction the metroid saga will follow from now on.)

Monster Hunter 3 (very boring and repetitive, different from what i imagined, i don't get why everyone likes this game so much)

and i still have to play Goldeneye, Sonic Colours, Epic Mickey and DKCR!

Sure did and Yes I have a lot of the older systems DS is the only other system this Gen though. Wii gets most of my playtime anymore its my favorite system since the SNES

That's because it's more action-oriented and less puzzle-oriented. So depending on what you like, you might prefer it to the prime games. Did u like Metroid before the prime games. Why didn't you like the prime games?

Played the HD versions? I've watched the video reviews but is the HD version better than the wii version? I'm guessing the quality is the same but with different mechanics. Does forgottensand shave any stealth elements like two thrones?
