140k in EMEAA alone?

O.o

The gap is at 3.8m between the HD consoles, the lowest ever?

Surely an error...

That's not the only weird thing. Look back. For the last three weeks, it's been selling at these levels. Hasn't been under 100k since 11th September, which was also the last week that it was outsold by the 360.

Massive adjustments. PS3 is above 40 million.

Looks like the numbers were revised:

Weekly Hardware Chart 23rd October 2010

Ranked by number of units sold worldwide

Console Americas Japan EMEAA Worldwide
n/a 19,760 141,777 161,537
n/a 35,486 101,304 136,790
n/a 12,021 86,310 98,331
n/a 2,102 82,218 84,320
n/a 33,052 29,730 62,782

Wii up even more but nothing compared to PS3!!   360 revised up too.

The haters will remind you for a long time, if not forever, that PS3 is the worst selling console this gen. (yup, I'm including PSP here)

Calm down the horses :P

What is happening, what are the possibilities of this being an error?

I LOVE ICELAND!

Thread title is officially an abject failure.

Also, this is not an error:

How could it have sold that much? Did move push that much hardware?

So, EMEAA sells more PS3s than any of us realised. That clears up a lot of things. Software sales are gonna be a pain to reorganise, it seems, given so musch more must have been sold. I'm currently quite surprised. The impact of this will be pretty considerable, assuming it isn't revised down at a later date.

Looks that way. And here people pegged it as a "flop, overshipped, failure". There's a lot of crow in the oven today, and many mouths to feed!

HA! aint that the truth. =D
