NPD is USA only.

These daily layoffs and studio closures are occurring simultaneously with new studio openings and hiring and studio buying, like Sony buying a lot of the studios it has been. We just seem to focus more on the bad news of closings.

Kinect may just save the industry from its current downward spiral and expand its audience well beyond even what the Wii managed to achieve.  So all gamers should be showing it and Microsoft some gratitude instead of the hate some are giving it.

I guess they could of spent this on 20 AAA titles which would of been great except they do not want to just churn out games for its existing customer base they want the existing base and a much bigger new one. They want some of the Wii and they are pulling out all the stops to get it.

It is interesting we call this the "Console Wars" because it is during wars that some of the biggest technology improvements occurr. This is just one battle Microsoft is waging they will be taking Kinect out of the Xbox and unleashing it all over the Microsoft world in entertainment and business.

Currently they are waging war on three fronts against Games, Phones and OS you have to admire them they are go getters.

Thanks Microsoft for selling me an overpriced tech that has issues that plays games that the eye toy had years ago.

That is several of the industry's biggest websites all citing the same story. Kind of makes it seem legit. Add it the fact that 200k units of Sports Champions alone has been sold in the Americas then combine that with non bundled sales and people buying multiple Move controllers and 500k seems very feasible. 

That means Sony has sold around 2 million copies. And I guarantee they didn't spend 500 million to do that. Microsoft needs this to be a success and it probably will be but damn I can only imagine how many games they could develop for that amount. It seems like a waste to me.

It's still shipped and not sold.
