If this is true i'm officially selling my 360, what a complete rip-off. For the same money they could sell the first 10 million(!!) Kintect bundles for $99. If Microsoft is really this stupid, i don't want anything to do with it.

As for what they are marketing. The purpose of Kinect is to sell more Xbox 360s it is not to sell the Kinect standalone device to existing Xbox 360 owners, so this is a Marketing campaign to sell more Xbox 360s. More Xbox 360s will mean more software of all types for existing 360 owners.
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

MS has a nonexistent first party? I guess Halo (3, ODST, Reach, Wars), Forza (2, 3), Fable (2, 3), Crackdown (1, 2), and other Microsoft games I played were all a dream. MS is also dependent on 3rd parties and so is Sony.
Now if you're implying Sony has better 1st party. Well that's just a matter of opinion.
MS still has plenty of money to spend on games and I'm sure they have games in the works (not that you actually care). This money they are investing in Kinect's marketing will boost sales all around for the 360.

Just wondering because if the is a live dmeo of it on OWS then they need to make sure it is working perfect. The last thing you want is for OW to get fustrated on TV

Wow, 4 franchises. I'm blown away. And MS hasn't shown any games at any of the trade shows this year, focusing instead on Kinect.

So what are you arguing now? I proved MS's first party is very much existent. Now you are bitching about me not naming enough of their IPs?
The 360 and PS3 are about equal in 1st party sales (excluding 3rd party games published by MS). Basically, It's just stupid to say MS's first party is "nonexistent".

MS could have made 100 AAA titles this gen and this guy would still hate them.

The same games series they've been making since the beginning, while sony creates a constant stream of new games- both sequels and IPs. Compared to sony and nintendo- and even a lot of third parties- MS makes very few games. Your second point might have weight if you could play sales.
