You never really see people arguing that Sony or Microsoft should get out of the console race because then their IPs could be shared on other consoles. It's demonstrative of the unparalleled strength of Nintendo's IPs...

They're so good, Nintendo must be doomed because of them!

its not about hardware limitations and tech its about game design, i don't think mario would be the same without Nintendo.

I'm not talking about just selling the IP...I'm talking about Nintendo making their games still, but not for a NINTENDO branded console.

Sony is cool, Microsoft needs to make something good besides shooters. Why would I want to see anyone out of the console race?  The more players, the more options I have as a gamer and the more Nintendo is forced to innovate, which is what I love them for.   We have 3 great system this gen, and for once in a very long time, they are not just variations on the same theme. 

I don't want anyone out.

I'd love to see Apple IN, just to see what they'd do to shake the industry up even more.
