Wii Party got its first crazy advertising blitz this week during X Factor. It will pick up this week enormously, I reckon. To be fair, although JLS are awful, watching them furiously masturbate with the Wiimote made me wet my pants.

wait wha? THIS made you wet your pants?

okieeee then

Oh... oh.... OH. OH YEAH. OH YEAH.

OH FUCKING YEAH.

Just re-watched it. It's actually the one on the beach that made me laugh. It's like they've all gotten in position to explode... Some of the other adverts make me want to stab myself in the eye with a pencil.

Mario Party's first week sold 28k in EMEAA. I don't know why anyone expected Wii Party to sell enormous numbers with this data.

That being said, Mario Party sold 32k in the 20th week of sale and over 2 million total in EMEAA, so Wii Party could sell a moderate amount for a very long time.

Well there were some that were expecting Wii Party to cause a boost in Wii's HW sales, which undoubtedly means they were expecting big Wii Party sales.

It will during the holidays like all wii titles do. I think the mainstream will pick this and just dance 2 like hot cakes

Yeah but not this week like many were expecting.

True!

Italy:

1) Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 (PS3)
2) FIFA 11 (PS3)
3) FIFA 11 (X360)
4) Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 (X360)
5) FIFA 11 (PS2)
6) F1 2010 (PS3)
7) FIFA 11 (PSP)
8) Sports Champions (PS3)
9) F1 2010 (X360)
10) Halo: Reach (X360)

Lack of games is really killing the Wii. It's the time of the gen where lack of third party games is starting to hurt a lot. We are probably witnessing Wii's last competitive year on the market, I'm almost sure that Nintendo will be announcing a new console during next E3.

Nintendo themselves have done miracles to sustain the Wii on their own, I don't think they will be able to sustain it for much longer without the help of third party games. Just look at the charts.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

I knew PES was still king in Italy.
Like in Spain and Portugal.

Italian charts are one week behind. That first week for both. PES launched in continental Europe same week as FIFA.

This chart is for week 39. PES launched in continental Europe in the same week as Fifa. It came out a week later in the UK. Second week where Sports Champions is over Reach in Italy. Either the former is doing shockingly good or the latter is doing really bad.

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4
