I find it hard to belive huge amount of people in west is going to rush to shops to buy $200 console to play things like this:
Animal Tracker – The Wii Remotes are laid out before the players, and each emit an animal sound from the Wii Remote speaker. The players must be the first to grab the Wii Remote that emits the sound corresponding to the animal shown on screen.
Time Bomb – The players pass each other the Wii Remote as gingerly as possible, as the motion-sensitive Wii Remote is represented as a bomb on screen. If a player is not able to pass on the Wii Remote without shaking it beyond a specified tolerance, the bomb explodes and the player loses.
etc.
This game make Wii music look like hardcore experience :D

Why do people think that Wii Party will sell huge amounts of hardware? It barely did anything in Japan and we have reached a point in the generation cycle where software releases have less and less cummulative impact on hardware sales upon release. I don't think GT5 will move huge amounts of hardware either.

Oh my... I suspect Time Bomb is actually a clever scheme to sell more WiiMotes, as surely the most squeamish casuals will drop them each time bombs explode, drastically shortening their lifes.

Japanese pepole don't have enough room in their houses for Kinect, the main reason that PS3 sales in Japan are still around 300% from what they were last year is because it's smaller, not just because of the price reduction.
Also, Ipod and Starbucks.
When foreign companies bring something new to Japan, they embrace it if it's quality, if they bring shoddy hardware with almost no games that interest the Japanese, why would they go with a brand that doesn't mean anything for them?
Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.

Go to the section you want to make a thread in (Gaming Discussion, Nintendo Discussion, Off-Topic) and you'll find a green tab in the top right hand corner below the Search GamerConnect bar, just click on that and it should take you to a fresh thread that you can set up.
Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
