Japanese pepole don't have enough room in their houses for Kinect, the main reason that PS3 sales in Japan are still around 300% from what they were last year is because it's smaller, not just because of the price reduction.
Also, Ipod and Starbucks.
When foreign companies bring something new to Japan, they embrace it if it's quality, if they bring shoddy hardware with almost no games that interest the Japanese, why would they go with a brand that doesn't mean anything for them?
Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.
