Microsoft lack of exclusives for 2011 prove one big thing : NEw Xbox is coming in 2012!

Microsoft has no GAMES for 2011 except Gears of War 3 and Forza MotorSport 4 ... But no others big games only Kinect Games , Kingdoms wont hit in 2011 and Alan Wake 2 Halo Wars 2 are 2012 more than likely... i doubt we will see another Halo this Gen so NEXT XBOX in 2012 with Halo 4 as launch title is more than likely.

As a 360 Fan i am so dissapointed... 2011 feels empty for Xbox we have alot of multi games and XBLA but no true exclusives till the FALL... Forza 4 , Kingdoms and Gears 3 seems awesome but only in FALL ?? So my summer will be a bodybuilding pools summer i was hoping for some Gears this summer but MS dropeed the ball.

anyway Xbox 720 is more than likely by FALL 2012 with Alan Wake 2 , Halo 4 and Alot of Kinect 2.0 games.

Now the Xbox does not have the gamez!

Dude what are you talking about?  This is all speculation... Kinect is being debuted this year which means that 2011 is when it should really pick up steam and 2012 is when I expect Microsoft to ANNOUNCE their next console with a likely release the 2nd half of 2013.  Releasing a console too early (meaning more than 1 1/2 years too early) would be suicide for them because by the time a competitor comes out with their console they will technologically not be able to compete.

I would actually say that is incredibly unlikely. Microsoft have repeatedly said Halo Reach is 'Halo 4 in all but name' (kind of like Modern Warfare 2 is Call of Duty 6), so more likely Halo 5; although my personal bet is a Halo trilogy remake. 

If the Gen 8 Xbox launches in 2012, chances are the Kingdoms game will be a launch title, as I think Microsoft are trying to put that IP on par with Gears and Halo, so it would be an incredibly bad move to release it in the same holiday season as Gears 3.

Honestly, it all depends on how Kinect is successful. And MS already said it`s launching it like it`s a new console, so to speak.
If there aren`t great exclusives announced for next year is probably because MS will give room for Kinect to breed and prosper. For some reason, GOW 3 was pushed for the holiday season in 2011, that way it will keep core games satisfied for the entire year while pushing Kinect.

Good thinking. I believe in this theory. The lack of games next year strongly hints at an Xbox 3 in 2012.

I think you are right.Kinect is launching but Microsoft also needs their hardcore fanbase satisfied with more "gamer" games. A big part of those 43 milion consoles sold were by the "hardcore"  gamers. Some of them will find some joy in Kinect, but they also want "normal" games which you can play like a couch potato with a controller in your hands.

Doubtful. There will very likely be another Halo in 2012 from 343 on X360. Therefore the earliest you would see a new 360 would be fall 2013.

Gears 3 is now fall 011 so there will be no new Xbox in 011 for sure. Now you just need a fall 012 title. That is most likely a Halo, since MS said they will be coming more often than every three years. Also, there's a poster on GAF who's uncle works for 343, and he said the next Halo will be on 360.

Also, quite frankly it seems to me the market is becoming more and more third party oriented. Just because there's fewer first party exclusives, doesn't mean there's not lots of big games coming all the time. Coming soon Enslaved, Vanquish and many others for example. And I wasn't too pissed about Gears 3 moving (though I was pissed) because Crysis 2 and Bulletstorm are coming next spring. Possibly Deus Ex Human Revolution too. So it's not like I wont have shooters to play.

Microsoft's big push right now is Kinect. They are probably backing off the hardcore a bit.
