Because they are losing money on their system theyre going to come last in the console wars? Sony is losing a hell of a lot more on each console than Microsoft is right now, and Microsoft is much much bigger and can take the loses... I dont know how money has very much to do with winning or losing this war (apart from development costs for each console).

Last time i checked Microsoft was frequently publishing 2nd party games that were doing very well. Examples? Halo 3, not to mention GoW did pretty well too. Microsoft, as it licenses every game on the console, gets a share of the money from every game sold on their system as well, so i dont know what you are on about.

Publishers will not stop supporting the 360 and solely support the PS3 in the event of the PS3 overtaking the 360, it just doesnt work like that. There are many other things to take into account, such as attach ratios, and development costs... Development costs this generation are so high that it would be suicide for many publishers to release a game on only one of these systems, as the development costs are so rediculously high, and there is no guarantee that they will break even or make a proft. There is a much better chance however if games are released on both systems, which has become a general trend.

 First off, i think you need to use proper grammer and learn to write properly.

Second off, i highly doubt that microsoft will be leaving the gaming market anytime soon. They want to take control of peoples living rooms, something Sony also wants. They have the chance to edge them out of their position there with the Xbox 360, and so far it hasnt been going too bad. They also want downloads to take off, not Blu-Ray or HD DVD, which will be possible through the 360. The day that Microsoft accomplishes all these aims is the day that i see them withdrawing from the gaming market.

I think that if analysts were too look at numbers, and not look at the names of the company, they would scream when they saw the losses Sony was taking and assume it was Xbox in 2002. Sony is closer to being Dreamcasted than Microsoft ever was. Microsoft, as a company, has profits that can only be compared to Walmart and other Oil companys.

i dont know,maybe if they fail to make in impact in japan they will leave the console war but not after 360

If Sony will become the leader for 2 more generations ... than maybe , but not sooner . Home consoles will incorporate OSs inside them ( look at PS3 ) , and MS cannot let a huge market , as the console market to slip by them . I dont see them actually leaving the market , but I could see them entering with a handheld ...

The original poster could not be more wrong. As far as the console wars go, Microsoft has only just got their foot in the door. They will definitely release another console and if Wii sales continue to be strong over the next few years, MS will be the first to market by some margin. I strongly suspect that the X720 will come out at least 2 years before the PS4.

Why do we care at all what games the Xbox 360 had in June 2006? This is Dec. of 2007! It has no relation to even the PS3 for relative reasons! Dec. 2006 I can maybe understand for another first year to second year arguement, but June? WTF?!

Any btw,for the sake of arguement, Microsoft already had their game of the year by June 2006 with Oblivion and had many great games like Call of Duty 4,PGR 3, Dead or Alive 4, and Ghost Recon AW that all went on to sell over over a million copies.
