MH Tri Bundle - Back at Retail (better price too!)

INCOMING SALES SHPIEL!

Ok, so the first batch of Monster Hunter Tri bundled with the Classic Controller Pro that we shipped back in April flew off the shelves. They were largely gone in a matter of 2-3 weeks (they were a great value). In hindsight, we really wished we had built more of them.

So we went out to our retail partners and asked if they'd be interested in another round at an even better price going into the holidays.

Sure enough Amazon, Gamestop, Best Buy and several of our Canadian retailers said "you bet"! So I went to our friends at Nintendo to see if we couldn't liberate another set of controllers to pack in. And those fine folks said "you bet".

So for $49.99 (and if you look around, a few retailers are being even more agressive than that), you can get your hands on one of the best/most addicting games for Wii and the perfect controller for it and any other pad appropriate games. The pad itself usually goes for $20.

Perhaps Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, would be another great addition to your cart now that you've got a pad.

If you're already a Monster Hunter Tri fan, maybe this is an opportunity to direct your friends to so that you can play together.

Now get THIS - if you don't have the game and/or want the bundle, don't walk, RUN to Amazon, NOW - as I'm typing this, while the price in Amazon for MH Tri is $47.91, the price of the bundle in Amazon is... $39.99 .  Who knows if that will last. Are you still here?

So...

Not a console bundle, just a CCP bundle?

Yes... I'm so West oriented that I forgot anyone could mistake this to mean the MH Tri Wii Bundle (which I believe was only in Japan).

SHPIEL?

Well well well

I guess this damn well confirms what I had suspected, despite the "slower than expected growth in MH3 Wii sales", according to their fin. report, Capcom were actually happy with the games performance on Wii.

Shhhh, keep it quiet

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

So new shipments then... 2 million here we come!

Is this the games first official cut in price for the US? Down here in the UK I still see the game going for full price at all the stores (GAME/Gamestation/HMV etc.). They're a tad cheaper online though, but standalone copies are never lower then £20, while the bundled game I've seen at £35 at it's cheapest (courtesy of ShopTo.net), and all other online retailers still have the bundle over £40.

How technical is your game?
