Maybe I bought into the hype but I expected better SW and HW nos. from Reach. Walk in sales were half of pre-orders? That seems low. HW would have been 75- 80k without it so why, with a lot of people reporting the bundles sold out, did it only sell an additional 70k? Doesn't make sense unless they only made that many or sent thousands to areas where they just weren't wanted. Maybe there will be another small boost next week as people find one online or track down a shundle in the wild. Sorry!
I knew SW wouldn't hit my expectations when EMEAA was a bit off yesterday. Still 4m is what it is and my 12.5 LT guess still looks possible. I only own a 360 and I'm not saying this to denigrate the franchise obviously. Maybe not having the Master Chief or the prequel status did hurt but the September release and job losses in NA contributed. Poor Bungie, hope the $240m covers payroll. Still it nixes the nonsense that Halo was in decline and couldn't move HW. Why were three early posters expecting an adjustment downward and not up? Wishful thinking sorta like me I guess.
