Hounestly i don't see any way for the top 5 Wii titles to even come close to that of the PS3 or X360. Those two have so many big games coming up it's crazy. I would like a tie between X360 and Playstation 3, but i believe GT5 will come back with a vengeance so i have to give the edge to Sony.

I guess from my point of view, last year Wii had only 2 big titles and a 3rd decent sized hit in Mario and Sonic. The last 2 spots were filled by games with well less than a million sales. So I'm thinking that while the top 2 games wont come close to matching last years hits, that higher sales of the games in 3-5 positions should come close to balancing it and give it sales close to last year.

Black Ops however; seems to be getting bigger than I expected. I thought it would fall shorts of Modern Warfare 2, but it looks like it may be on pace to outperform it substantially. If that happens it could be hard for the Wii to keep up with the HD consoles especially 360. For the PS3 I guess I just don't think GT5 is going to be huge this year, it will perform well for sure, but I think it will be more about legs next year for that title.

lol at people who just anything other then wii 1st. wii party alone will smash everything.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

wii party will tear up the charts

I guess the order will be Wii-360-PS3.

Above: still the best game of the year.

I don't think it is fair to include games released in October, but exclude games released in September. Holiday sales tend to jump in November and December, so if we are just looking at holiday says, October games should be ignored too.

However games released in September (like Halo: Reach) are released in this timeframe to have a fall release that doesn't interfere with other big titles (namly Black Ops).

I think it's only fair to include games released in the Fall, and since Halo: Reach came out in the last week of Summer, I think it's an exception that should be counted. So in protest, I am including Halo into my list. You can ignore me out of any prize, or aknowledgment, but it's not fair to give one console a disadvantage that others don't. Pokemon Black/White in Japan and Sports Champions should also count.

I have made an alternate choice to replace games you don't count, unless you count them.

    X360

  • Halo: Reach
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops
  • Kinect Adventures
  • Fable 3
  • Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
  • Fallout: New Vegas (since you probably won't count Halo)
    • With Halo: 24.5 million
    • Without Halo: 17.5 million

    PS3

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops
  • Gran Turismo 5
  • FIFA 2011
  • Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
  • Pro Evolution Soccer 2011
    • 16 million

    Wii

  • Wii Party
  • Donkey Kong Country: Returns
  • Just Dance 2
  • Disney: Epic Mickey
  • Kirby: Epic Yarn
    • 17 million

    For fun:

    DS

  • Pokemon: Black & White
  • Prof Layton
  • Golden Sun: Dark Dawn
  • Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs
  • Mario Vs. Donkey Kong
    • 7.5 million

    PSP

  • Monster Hunter Portable 3rd
  • God of War: Ghosts of Sparta
  • God Eater
  • FIFA 2011
  • Pro Evolution Soccer 2011
    • 5 million
