Has anyone here played Tropico 3?  Was it worth getting?

I'd say it's good, but not great. But it'll offer you some hours of fun, as long as you don't expect to get a new SimCity or Caesar; it's a good city building game

Did you play the original Tropico and, if so, how do you think it compares?  I'm easily addicted to management games, and the first Tropico gobbled up plenty of hours of my life, so I'm hoping 3 was even better.

I barely played the 2nd, but really really barely, as in, 20 mins and never played it again, so I can't really compare them

Too bad SC: HotS won't be out next year, but Minecraft and Torchlight 2 should keep me occupied until then. And of course, Starsiege TRIBES which I just downloaded for free.

I need an upgrade. Now.
