Didn't Ubisoft say the campaign in Brotherhood will be 15 hours?

yes. Just as long as Assassin's Creed 2.

I'm not trying to put you down, and I do believe that you personally finished the game in 15 hours ... but that's nowhere near the average amount of time it takes to complete the game.

It's at least a 25-30 hour game.

It took me over 30 hours to platinum.

yeah Slimebeast also said that he needed much longer than me in AC1....weird

Anyway I finished the game in 14 hours, did the last few achievements (only real time consuming one was the feathers) and ended up with 1000G in a little bit under 18 hours. (used a guide for the feathers obviously)

But I'm pretty sure the 15 hours number of Brotherhood refers only to the story.

Booo @ guides.

In the menu, they show how many feathers there are per district, and how many you've collected in each district.

yeah thank god because I sometimes missed one and didn't need to start from scratch again, just to find the missing one.

But you need to understand me, I only 1000G'd AC1 one week earlier and the last few missing achievements were killing 50 templars and gathering around 300 feathers......

Hated that week so much.

They should sell about 10m each. The AC franchise is just brilliant, and ACII was one of the greatest games of the generation. Brotherhood probably won't sell so much, as it has been only 1 year since the last one, but this franchise should continue for a while to come

It will continue for a long time, I love the whole rich plot that it has, and how it plays on the future as well. Brotherhood should be a fun game to play before number 3 comes out.

Still don't know if I should get the 360 version or the ps3 version. (Personally I want the ps3 version, but my assassin creed friends are mostly 360 owners)

If you have Gold go with the Xbox. I'm getting PS3 because I much prefer the controllers and free online

the 1 year gap could hurt, but L4D2 didn't suffer, it actually sold more. So hopefully same can be said for AC:B

That is true, but AC II didn't sell as well as AC I... so I am not sure, with MP it could go either way

As for playing AC I... it is inferior in every way to ACII as that was the best improvement in a sequel ever (I think) as it addressed every flaw in the first game, of which there were many. I played it briefly recently, and even the (at the time) amazing free running felt stunted compared to AC II

@ hatmoza, don't be turned off by the inclusion of MP. Ubisoft are throwing every resource they have at this game, so they have a full SP story, which may not be as long as AC II, but that was a long game, so at the very least you are getting a good length game. For me, Rome seems a big enough location, and one that probably does deserve its own game, so I'm REALLY looking forward to it, in spite of my apathy for multiplayer in general

You are aware that Assassin's Creed 1 had a 2 year advantage over assassin's creed 2....and that in the same frame of time that Assassin's Creed on the 360 at 43 weeks (which is how long ACII has been out)  had sold 3.8 million, while Assassin's Creed 2 is at 4.1 million right?

No..... and the PS3 version has sold better as well, so I am just completely wrong

Is this shipped or sold 5 million? If it's shipped then yes AC probably has got to 5 million and AC2 probably will. But the official VGC sold figure for AC1 is 4.92 million and given AC1 is no longer on the top 200 chart it's pretty unlikely to make up that 80K gap, it still could though.

Similarly I think it's pretty ambitious to call it for AC2 with it sitting on 4.11 million. At the rate it's selling right now it'll need to keep up that average for about another 61 weeks to get to 5 million. That's a pretty tall order at this stage in the generation.

Having said that getting 2 x 4million on a single platform is bloody marvelous, and getting 8 million across PS360 is fantastic. Is it the best selling multiplat new IP this generation?

Gears of War is the best selling new exclusive HD IP this gen is it not?

I would say yes to both your last 2, unless you agree with IW that their latest games were Modern Warfare games not CoD games... Gearses have no sold about 12m, so nothing is close to them in terms of exclusives, the only other high selling new exclusive HD franchise I can think of is Uncharted and that has only sold 7m. By comparison the Assassin's Creed franchise has sold 17.5m. That is a seriously impressive number

ACI is at 4,925. So 75k to go, it's selling about 3.7k a week, should do it by at least middle of next year, if not possibly this xmas even?!

ACII should get a xmas boost despite AC:B, I predict at least 4.8 mill by end of holiday season.
