or you can miss on on fun game play just because its not as good looking on your system of choice, and the developers will move on to other games, and put less money towards projects for your console after noting the sales |
Sorry but the sales they are going to make easily justify adapting their codes. In this case its not about having insufficient budget. They are trying to get more with less, theres a major difference. Its great some people are upright and consequent enough to not encourage them if they think they should have done better. Dont make it seem like they are doing a dumb move.

2. If you buy low quality product they will keep making a low quality product. |
Exactly, its not like they didnt have the means to do better.
This is what happens when you hand the game off to an inexperienced developer. They had Massive Bear Studios do the job. Their other projects are JoyRide and Sky Pirates of Neo Terra. A Wii title and a 360 title was originally planned for XBLA.
Yeah, that deserves my monetary support. Put in the hands of a developer who doesn't do high level graphic titles. This was bound for success. -_-

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Also by checking that link you can see that 2K lied again when they said that each version was built from the ground up.
Straight from the MassiveBear site for their work on Mafia 2.
"Optimizations, Rendering and Systems"
Goddog, this is why you shouldn't give them your money. They obviously do not care at all, instead opting to lie to PS3 gamers just to attempt to get a sale.
If they don't care neither should PS3 owners.

I agree, do not give them money for the PS3/360 versions.
Instead, don't be tied to a console and buy the glorious PC version. :)
Sony is generally willing to give help and advice to developers so I have no idea why companies do not take advantage of this so fucking stupid.
Oh well screw it im off to watch the EA conference

you could with this thought force them to build an even crappier version to keep with in some execs or publishers multiplat plan.
though ive always felt better a port for a game i want to plan thats just a bit less in visuals then missing out on an increasing number of games that could come as a result of shunning multiplats.
though this generation i dont feel thats as much of a risk.
