The Mafia 2 demo is up on PSN, Live and Steam now and people are freaking out at how good it is, especially the PC gamers. It also runs fantastically on all the platforms and the PS3 version even has MLAA (I think?), so it could be a sleeper hit or it could do really well on the PC like the last game did.

Well I hoped so, but I already saw 2 reviews which weren't that positive (8/10 and 7/10)

An 8 and a 7 aren't that bad though. PC Zone are also pretty tough from what I can remember. I'm basing what I've said on the Neogaf impressions, they seem to be positive and I think the best anyone can hope for is that it ends up being a Dead Space or a Demons Soul's and it just rides on word of mouth.

yeah well just played the Steam demo and it was pretty good. But one mission isn't enough to judge the quality of the whole game.
graphics were very nice (but also pretty demanding. When I was in the upper floors in the house the framerate dropped to ~15 whereas I can run Crysis on very high with almost constant 30FPS) Aiming and cover system was good, driving was cool and so on.
Based on the demo I'd expect 82/100 at the very least.
I just hope the next reviews will confirm that.
