XIII is awesome, I mean I played it for 50h! 50h in that World, that is just plain awesome. So there was a LOT that amazed me!

Coming from someone who has enjoyed, for the most, the Final Fantasy series, FFXIII is by far the worst in the series. The only people who seem to like it are people new to Final Fantasy or die hard Square Enix fans who are in denial and refuse to admit it's rubbish. Had I reviewed the game, it would have never passed a 6 out of ten.

I pretty much agree with this view right here. It's an okay game if you are not a fan of the series/regular to it.

I agree with you on X-2 as well, the battle system was very good, and if you ignored the cheese filled throughout the games story then it's a story that makes a lot more sense then XIII's ever did.

Lost Odyssey. Though, I'd guess you don't have an xbox (could be wrong, but you mentioned ps3 specifially). And I'm sure you've heard of it. Or maybe you've played it. It's great IMO.

I second that. LO is the jrpg of this gen.

I haven't played LO, but I think these are the definitive RPGs of this gen:

 

I excluded ports/remakes so Pokemon HG/SS, Chrono Trigger, DQ V, FF IV and the like didn't turn up

You should try it, if you have a chance. My only doubt is that you seem to like the kind of jrpg:s which I can't stand but LO is very much like good old FF-games.

Even though I don't personally have a 360, my friend does and I quite often swap my PS3 for his 360 for a fortnight or so.  That's how I got to experience Tales of Vesperia and Star Ocean (before I bought the PS3 version).

Next time I see it cheap, I'll pick it up

I enjoyed it. Not the very greatest game ever, but still a worthwhile game to play. I thoroughly enjoyed my playthrough and definitely worth the purchase

EXTREMELY dissapointed. Atlus is my new Squaresoft. Thank God they didn't ruin Dragon Quest yet.

Disappointed. Not X-2 disappointed (or should I say enraged and outraged all at once) but disppointed in a big way. FFXIII, to me, is what a lot of Wii fans claim that most HD games are; shiny with little to no content.

It was a fun game after somewhat 15 hours, but relatively to its hype and name it was a big disappointment.

  I personally thought it was boring as all hell. I have played and enjoyed most Final Fantasy games but this one was hard to keep playing.  I have never dreaded getting through the story more in any other game. It got to the point where I was just playing for the trophies and even they were barely able to keep me interested.

 I got my trophies and now I have no desire to ever play the game again.  So yes, I was disappointed.
